So forgetful!

I keeping forgetting to post the link to the bow making course that my friends and I put together. It's a wonderful manual with over 100 pages and over 400 detailed pictures. Also included is a DVD with over 2hrs of footage. The course not only teaches you to make hair bows, but also gift bows, decorative bows, basically any kind of bow you would like to make, I can teach you! Check out the website at http://www.learnhowtomakebows.com
Was that a good commercial or what?

Not much to report

Hello friends and family! I wish we had something interesting to blog about, but life is just going on as usual, I guess that's a good thing. Makayla has entered an interesting stage. Let's say she doesn't want to do something we ask her to do, like pick up her toys. Our response to Makayla is "Well, I'm so sorry you don't want to pick up your toys, but you have to." Her response is "Thank you Mommy, thank you for saying you were sorry." And then she proceeds to pick up her toys. Amazing, I wonder how long this will last.... She also is great at complementing. Let's say I help her get her shoes on. She will say to me "Thank you Mommy! Thank you for helping me get my shoes on. That was very nice!" Imagine her saying this with all the enthusiasm and sincerity that a two year old can muster up. She's silly.

For I know the plans I have for you

I should have known why I was getting antsy. We've never lived in one place very long. We have lived in NC for two years now and according to our history it's time to move. But..... we aren't. I had to do some redecorating of the apartment to be satisfied where we live. I must say, with just a few minor changes of decor the place is a lot more homey. So now I'm in for the long haul (as if nursing school hasn't been a haul!) Josh has accepted a position at UNC hospitals for the fall in the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit. I really have no idea what that means except for the fact that he is happy and satisfied with his job, which is all I want. It will be nice to be making a salary again, we just have to hold out until he starts September 21st. We will take all the prayers we can get to financially and mentally make it until that first paycheck. (yeah... my children's ministry paycheck is nothing compared to a real salary, but it helps!)
Things are starting to move with my job. I'm getting into a little bit of a routine and figuring out what I would like to plan long term. It is such a blessing to have a job that I can do from home! Of course, it is also a blessing that the girls are finally starting to actually play with each other. They are so adorable singing and playing pretend with each other. I think Caroline's speech is even improving a little bit.
Speaking of Caroline, her big day is coming up in just a couple of weeks! I can't believe it. I think I'm going to chose not to think about it until closer to her actual birthday.
Makayla is Makayla. She continues to crack us up with her imagination. She make believe plays Dora all day long, we've even got her talking some spanish.
Sorry there are no pictures this week.... maybe next week.

Sleeping Picture of the Week

Spring Break is over and Josh has started his Labor and Delivery clinicals. He's not as excited about it as I am. He got to see a birth this week too, but he wasn't interested. Oh well, he's already seen two. We miss having daddy home with us all week, but with his clinicals in the evenings we get to see him more.
I got to go to the Elders/Ministers and wives retreat last weekend. I guess that makes me official. Since I am the only female minister, they put me in charge of the wives....interesting because most of them could be my mom, or grandma. So I let them do the teaching and I think we had a good time. It was fun to stay in a bed and breakfast two times in one week, but I liked the one Josh took me to better :)
Makayla is now Dora the Explorer. We are continually chasing Swiper the Fox, counting things, or acting out an episode. It's cute to watch. She even told us to "Vamanos" this week. So although we don't like her watching a lot of tv, she is learning some things.
Caroline's phrase of the week "I do it" She is trying her best to get herself dressed. She even took her diaper off during naptime because it was wet...how sweet. Of course, this does make things a little frustrating when she can't manage to do things on her own, but eventually she'll learn how to do it.
So apparently we are taking a sleeping picture every week. We just can't help it! They are too cute sleeping together. I thought this one was especially cute, enjoy!

Caroline has three undershirts around her belly

Makayla saw the camera out and wanted her picture taken

What do you think? Do they fit?
