WAAAAAAAYY Overdue!!!

Ok, so this post is WAYYY overdue and I apologize to all the family that has anxiously been waiting for an update. Let's see, where to start.... well, I have been doing well. I am still really enjoying my job as a Children's Coordinator for our church. I am learning a lot, but everyone is very understanding and helpful and I learn my way through my first year. We have VBS coming up in a little less than a month, so I am entering panic mode, but I know everything will all work out. I've never organized an event to large, but I am so confident in my teachers. My arms are killing me though from two straight hours of spray painting..think I can get some workers comp. for that?
Josh is two weeks in to his last semester, two months to go. 61 days and counting!!! We can't wait. This summer is going to be busy. They cram a normal 16 week semester into 10 weeks, including the normal amount of hours he has to work under a preceptor. We are getting a good taste of what it is going to be like with Josh as a nurse. I'm not looking forward to his first night shift, but I got sunblocking curtains for the occasion. Josh is going to make a wonderful nurse. He graduates July 26th, and starts his job in the Bone Marrow Transplant Unit on September 21st. They give him time to take and pass the NCLEX.
Makayla is 3 and I can't believe it! She is growing up way to fast. She LOVES playing princess dressup. She has watched most of the major Disney princess movies and acts them out daily. She had some birthday money to spend so I took her to Target. She picked out a Belle Barbie doll. She is very polite and encouraging. If I make her a sandwich she will say in a very serious and thoughtful 3yr. old voice, "Thank you Mommy! Thank you so much for making me a sandwhich. That was so nice." or if I make draw something, "Oh Mommy, that is BEAUTIFUL! I LOVE it!" She's starting with the "Why" question as well. Josh's dad has bred his golden retriever and she recently had her puppies. They have offered us one for Josh's graduation gift. The girls LOVE our cat, so we thought we go for the puppy too. We've been talking it up with the girls and I have been asking Makayla to think of a name. At first she was only replying "Puppy." But then I explained to her about names, like Mason has a name, not just cat, etc. So the next day when I asked her what we should name the puppy she sits and gets this very pensive face and says, "Um... Joe." Everyday since then the response has been the same. So, I thinking we are going to have a dog named Joe.
Caroline is not a baby anymore! She is potty trained. I'm not sure how it happened really, it's all kind of a blur. It just happened so quickly and easily, she's even better at it than Makayla (and the cat too!) So, that is such a blessing! I have two big girls. Caroline is starting to learn more words. She is trying very hard to learn her colors. She points to everything and tries to guess the color, she gets it right...sometimes. She said her first full sentence on Sunday. She was disobeying and I asked her if she needed a spanking. She replied, "You do not hit me Momma!" What a sassy girl, where does she get that from???? She is still adorable though and will always be my baby!
Mason has chewed through our second computer power cord, so we finally got smart and put up a blocade to the back of the desk. We also moved his litter box, so now he's not peeing in the tub anymore! He had his first check up with the vet last week. He was sneezing and it was time for his 1 year apt. Fortunately the sneezes weren't a big deal, unfortunately they were a big enough deal that we have to go back for his shots. Bummer!
Below are the only pictures I have taken in a month! I can't believe how busy we have been! These are of our trip to the Zoo. My brother just bought a house in Ashbero, NC. He lives on Zoo Parkway, so we have a family pass to the zoo and can go anytime. The pictures are one of many trips we will be taking!

Not exactly sure what type of animal this is, but it sure is cute!
