Slip and Slide

Last week when I had to decorate for VBS, and Josh was recovering from the night shift, my mom took the kiddos for me and had some great fun with the Slip and Slide. They had a blast with their cousins!

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

I just love my friends that don't have kids. I love them for many reasons, mainly for the free babysitting. But I also love their naivate. They come and babysit for an hour or so and when I get home they tell me, "Your girls are so cute and funny! You must laugh ALL the time!" Riiiiiiight! We just laugh all the time with two girls less than a year apart. I mean, what's not funny about Caroline pooping on the floor or Makayla throwing a temper tantrum! Well, here is some proof from this week that we do have some fun at our house!
They don't know it yet, but this is the closest they are getting to a wedding! NO BOYS!

Donut Breakfast-the girls lick the chocolate icing off and then ask for another donut.

Makayla's Silly Face- she came up with it herself! She must be gifted!

Frills and Thrills

46 Days and counting until Josh graduates!! I can't believe we are nearing the month and a half point! It seems like school will never be over with. What will we do with all that time together?
The girls have been just adorable like always. Makayla was playing with two toys tonite and she was talking to one toy saying, "You're not a King, you are the Son of God!" I think we have mixed The Lion King with Sunday School! Too much TV if you ask me, of course, Makayla will not admit that she is a TV addict, but the girl would watch TV all day if we'd let her! Caroline spends her days in fear of "Buggies." You would think our apartment was infested with bugs the way Caroline carries on during the day!
VBS is only a week and a half away! I have no idea what I'm not doing! I just hope I'm planning for everything! Thank goodness we have such great people at our church who are willing to help!
This past Sunday I got the girls dressed up in old style frilly dresses, complete with "fancy pants". I know that one of them was mine from when I was a little girl, but I can't remember which. I thought they were so adorable we had a photo shoot before church. The girls thought they were adorable too, they didn't want to take their dresses off all day! Also pictured below is Josh taking a spin in our friends new Corvette. I had posted recently that our friends were selling bow manuals at Learnhowtomakebows.com. Well, they one the competition they were in and the grand prize was a new 2009 Corvette!

I guess they can only be girly for so long!
