Good News

I found out on Friday that my blood test came back completely normal, so I do NOT have gestational diabetes!! Woohoo! Although, I have decided to be a little more healthy in my eating and exercise choices. I even walked the dog today. We couldn't go too fast or too far because I have some pretty obnoxious ligaments, but it was nice to get out and get moving.
The whole family went to the Farmer's Market this afternoon and we got some nice fresh produce and yummy's to munch on. It will be nice to move closer and shop there more often. Makayla enjoyed looking at all the flowers and produce and learning all the names of the plants. I think the fresh strawberries were the biggest hit for the girls. I packed the camera with me and completely forgot to take pictures, so I will just have to go back!
The house closing will be here before we know it! Monday is the big day! Our apartment is getting smaller and smaller by the day. I am super excited that Josh's step-mom is coming next week to help pack and take care of the girls! That is going to be such a big help! I'm looking forward to this next stage in our lives and getting a step closer to being ready for Sydney's arrival.
Oh, I will close out with a funny Makayla story since it's too much to put on the Family Quotes section. The girls have picked up a few phrases from our blessed Disney movies that we don't allow in our house. One of them being "Oh my Gosh!" Hey, if we can stop the habit now, GREAT! Well, Makayla is very serious about this change and calls out our friends and myself regularly. A couple days ago we were at McDonald's, just getting out of the van as a group of elderly people exit the building. Apparently someone said the forbidden stage and Makayla, from across the parking lot, yells at them, "We don't say, 'Oh my Gosh!'" Needless to say, I was mortified. One of the gentlemen stopped, I think just out of surprise, but we made it into McDonald's without a verbal lashing from any of the elderly people. Oh the joys of parenthood!

I Failed!

Even though I have no adorable pictures for this post, I figured it was at least time for an update. Come back next week for adorable Easter pictures.

Things are progressing really well with our house. We had the final inspection last week and the owners fixed everything really well. It's nice to have agreeable people to be buying from. We are now in the countdown until closing. We are very anxious to get the girls and the dog outside!!!!

Caroline had her 3 year checkup today. She did fantastic! She is scoring really high in all of her development areas. She's still growing small, but she's staying on track with her growth, so we're good with that. Which is funny, cause her feet are definitely surpassing her sisters when she was her age. She did have to get a shot, I wasn't quite prepared for that, but she was a trooper and got her butterfly bandaid.

Makayla is doing well. She will have a check up soon, so I will have more to post on her later.

Sydney is growing like a weed. Her daddy finally got to feel her kick last week and her grandma got to feel her kick today. She has been measuring small, although my belly is still measuring big, figure that! I had my glucose test this week and I failed it! No fun! Which means I get to back next week and drink the glucose drink again and get my blood drawn every three hours. If I fail the test again, that means I have gestational diabetes and get to talk with a nutritionist. All if's, I've known a lot of girls who fail the first test and pass the second. Even if I do fail, the diabetes typically goes away after pregnancy, so I'm not worried. I just hope I don't have a 20lb baby!

Josh is good too, but I'm sure you're not reading this blog to hear about him :) He is loving his job and we are all thankful for that!
